Crawl spaces and attics
A lot of Raleigh homes run ductwork through a vented crawl space or a hot attic. Ducts sweat, flex duct sags or comes apart, and air handlers sit above finished ceilings. We get under the house and up in the attic and show you photos of what's there.

Every spring, pine pollen coats everything yellow, including your filter and outdoor coil. Clogged filters and dirty coils are behind a lot of the first no-cool calls of the year.

Ice storms and cold snaps
Winters are mostly mild, which is why heat pumps work so well here. But a few nights a year, ice and hard cold push them hard. We set up defrost and aux heat properly so you stay warm without sky-high bills.

Most homes in Wake County heat and cool with a heat pump, and many of them were installed by a builder and never looked at again. We repair every common type, replace them with properly sized single-stage, two-stage and variable-speed systems, and set up dual fuel where a gas furnace makes sense as backup. What does a service call cost?
We'll tell you the diagnostic fee on the phone before we send anyone, and it's the same quote on nights and weekends. Once the tech finds the problem, you get a written flat-rate price for the repair before any work starts. If you decide not to go ahead, you only pay the diagnostic.
Is a heat pump a good choice in Raleigh?
For most homes here, yes. Our winters are mild enough that a modern heat pump handles nearly every day of the year on its own, and it doubles as your AC. On the coldest nights, electric aux heat or a gas furnace in a dual fuel setup takes over. We'll compare both for your house.
Why does my house feel humid even with the AC on?
Usually the system is oversized, the fan is set to "on" instead of "auto," or ducts in the crawl space or attic are pulling in humid air. Sometimes it's all three. We measure humidity, airflow and duct leakage, then fix the cause. A dehumidifier is an option, not our first answer.
How long does a system replacement take?
Most straight swaps of a heat pump or AC with a matching air handler take one long day. Jobs with new ductwork, a new location or a switch to dual fuel can take two. We protect floors, pull permits where required and haul away old equipment, and we'll give you the timeline in your quote.
